In 2018, Black Panther was released and your donations helped raise over $15,000!

Your contributions sent 500 students to private screenings in

Atlanta, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

We’ve been lucky to receive national news headlines and the support of celebrities such as Usher Raymond, TIP “ T. I ” Harris, Lena Waithe, Tina Knowles, Richard Lawson, Lil Rel Howery, Kenny Latimore, and Winston Duke (Lord M’Baku of Black Panther). Their donations played an essential role in this initiative.



The remaining proceeds also go to our Go For Yours Scholarship Fund. The Go For Yours Scholarship went to a young artist named Thelonious Stokes, who was the first recipient. Since then, Thelonious has become the first African American male to graduate from the Florence Academy of Art in Italy.

This year the foundation will select young people (ages 13-18) in up to ten cities to screen Wakanda Forever.
The remaining proceeds for the Wakanda Forever initiative will go to the Go For Yours Scholarship Fund and send one young person from each designated location to the 2023 Dream Experience, a one-week leadership fellowship in Los Angeles. It would be great to have you join us again in this initiative.
